The College of Architecture and Construction Technology (CoACT) is pleased to welcome you.  This is an official and reliable source of current and comprehensive information about its academic programmes, research activities, and institutional developments.

The College operates through two active academic departments: the Department of Architecture and Art Design (AAD) and the Department of Construction Management and Technology (CMT). The Department of Land, Spatial Planning and Real Estate Studies (LSPRES) is presently not operational.

As one of the seven constituent colleges of MUST, CoACT provides a conducive environment for teaching, learning, research, and consultancy, in line with the University’s vision of becoming a centre of excellence in education, research, and professional service. The College’s primary academic and professional focus areas include architecture, quantity surveying, urban planning and development, and construction technology and management.

The College is committed to delivering high-quality, relevant, and practice-oriented education through its academic programmes. In support of research and community engagement, CoACT has established the Makazi Bora Unit, which strengthens and promotes research and academic consultancy in the field of sustainable and inclusive human settlements. The unit advances initiatives related to affordable housing, the use of local materials, and other context-responsive solutions to contemporary built-environment challenges.

Visitors are encouraged to explore this website regularly for updates on academic activities, events, staff profiles, and official announcements. Through this platform, the College invites students, staff, partners, and stakeholders to engage with its activities, share knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the College.
