Form Six holders

Two principal passes at least” D” grade at Advanced Level in Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry or Geography at A-Level and  must have a Certificate of     Secondary  Education Examination (CSEE) with a minimum pass of “D” grade in at least four (4) non-Religious subjects, three of which must be Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Geography

Diploma Holders

Holders of Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Architecture with an average of B or GPA of 3.0 and possession  of Certificate of Secondary  Education  Examination (CSEE) with a pass in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Geography

Full Technician Certificate (FTC)) in Architecture with an average of B and possession  of Certificate of Secondary  Education  Examination (CSEE) with a pass in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Geography

YEAR ONE

• Apply mathematical, scientific knowledge to solve design problems

• Convert measurements into drawings from architect’s sketches for medium complexity buildings manually and electronically using appropriate tools and equipment and coordinate different drawings describing a building.  
• Use historical forms and structures i design and apply rules, regulations, ethics and codes of practice, health and safety procedures in construction.
• Identify safety requirements in a construction site and supervise simple site activities
• Use appropriate equipment, tools, materials and construction techniques to carry out simple site measurements, set out and construct simple buildings

YEAR TWO AND THREE

• Application of Architectural technology concepts in designing and formulating architectural forms, products & components in multidisciplinary approach and analyzing elements and factors affecting the design of built up environment.
• Application of Mathematics and Information Technology in designing and model making
• Apply suitable construction techniques and materials in designing and fabrication of architectural and building components and products.
• Production of detailed structural and Architectural drawing for construction and install services in buildings and public amenities
• Practice architectural technology in construction industry professionally and apply communication skills in running offices/medium scale organization and business effectively and efficiently

YEAR FOUR

• Apply different techniques of design in formulating architectural structures and in solving indeterminate structural problems on underground and marine structures
• Incorporate alternative energy systems in buildings and design water supply/disposal systems in built up structures
• Conduct technological tasks in construction projects, production of built structures, building safety and environmental control
• Apply scientific research methods to solve Architectural technology problems.

• Mode of assessment is made up of 40% coursework and 60% final university examination.
• Some core and practical modules will be made up of 50% course work and 50% final examination.
