Welcome to the Department of Research and Publications

The Department of Research and Publications at Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Mbeya was established under the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies, Research, and Publications. Its core function is to ensure a favorable environment for research and promote the conduct of research that is in line with the University and National Research Agenda and Development Strategy. The Department of Research and Publications is responsible for coordinating research activities at the University and managing the MUST Journal of Research and Development (MJRD).

The Department of Research and Publications coordinates research undertaken by MUST staff, students, research fellows, and associates under various collaborative arrangements. The Department oversees the quality of academic works produced by staff and students at the University; facilitates publishing and dissemination of research findings; MUST working papers/books and teaching manuals written by MUST academic staff. In addition, the Department of Research and Publications coordinates capacity-building activities that boost the University’s research, publications, and advanced knowledge.

We welcome Local and International Institutions to collaborate with MUST in research activities.
